Furniture handmade
from solid walnut

We work in solid American walnut and brass. Every piece is built by hand in a single workshop — no veneer, no rush, made to outlast trends.

Material

One material. One workshop. One series a year.

Amal begins with the wood. We choose solid American walnut — dense, warm, dark-grained, and only deepening with age. No veneer, no particleboard: what you see on the outside is the piece itself, all the way through.

We don't hide the brass. Handles, edging and slender legs are cast and polished by hand; with time it darkens nobly and keeps the trace of touch. Not a finish for shine, but a detail that ages beautifully.

We release one series a year and never rush it. From first sketch to assembly, every piece passes through the same hands — so we answer for every joint, every tassel, every chamfer.

What it's made of

Four materials we don't hide

01

American walnut

Solid, not veneer. A dense timber with expressive grain in four natural shades, from light to dark mocha. Boards are seasoned for years before they are worked.

02

Cast brass

Handles, edging and legs are cast and hand-polished. Brass is alive: it darkens into a soft patina over time, and we leave it honest — no forever-lacquer.

03

Bouclé & upholstery

Dense bouclé and natural leather over a solid-wood frame. Fabrics are made to order, and we reupholster years later, too — the piece outlasts a single trend.

04

The tassel & the handle

The detail that signs an Amal piece: a hand-tied leather tassel on a brass handle — small proof a human, not a line, made it.

How a piece is made

  1. 01

    Sketch

We draw the form and proportions by hand and agree them with you — dimensions, wood shade, fabric.

  2. 02

    The wood

We pick solid boards, seasoned for years, and cut them for this one piece.

  3. 03

    Assembly

Joined by hand with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, no excess metal. Each joint is fitted on its own.

  4. 04

    Finishing

We sand and finish with natural oils and wax. Brass is polished and set by hand.

  5. 05

    Delivery

We pack, insure and ship to Russia and the CIS — and assemble on site where needed.

What clients say

I ordered a dining table for a specific room. They sent a sketch, let me feel wood samples — the result is a piece I never want to replace. The walnut has only grown more beautiful with the years.

I specify Amal on client projects: a rare case where solid wood is truly solid and the lead times are honest. The brass details age exactly as promised.

A chest and two armchairs. Assembled on site, nothing creaks — and the little tassel on the handle is the first thing guests notice.
